Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

NotYourMaid (formerly HousIQ) is operated by Dravara, LLC ("NotYourMaid," "we," "our," or "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It covers the NotYourMaid apps for iPhone and Android, the website at notyourmaid.com, the app at housiqhq.com, our emails, and support.

Who We Are

Dravara, LLC, 3564 Avalon Park E Blvd Ste 1-A881, Orlando, FL 32828. Email support@notyourmaid.com for anything about your data.

If we are required by applicable law to appoint a representative or other local contact for a jurisdiction, we will identify that contact in this policy or through a jurisdiction-specific notice.

Notice At Collection

This policy is our notice at collection: it lists the categories of personal information we collect, the purposes we use them for, and how long we keep them. It is also intended to give the fuller disclosures that privacy laws in places such as California and other U.S. states, the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland require.

Information We Collect

  • Account. Your email address and a password (stored by our sign-in provider as a one-way hash), or the account identifier Apple or Google gives us when you sign in with them, plus the name they share, if any. For Sign in with Apple we also keep a token Apple issues, so we can disconnect your Apple ID when you delete your account. We also note when you confirmed you are 18 or older; we never ask for your birth date.
  • Household. The household's name, the names or nicknames of the people in it, their roles, an age group for children's profiles, rooms, chores, routines, who did what and when, points and badges, and notes you add.
  • Billing. Your plan, its status and renewal dates; for website subscriptions, Stripe's customer and subscription identifiers; for App Store purchases, Apple's transaction and product identifiers; for Google Play purchases, the order and product identifiers and a one-way hash of the purchase token. We never receive full card numbers.
  • Notifications. If you turn on reminders, the address your browser or phone gives us for push notifications, your reminder settings, and a log of the reminders we sent.
  • Email. The emails we send you and whether they were delivered. If you unsubscribe, a one-way hash of your address, so we stop.
  • Support. What you send us, including attachments, and our replies.
  • Sign-in security. The IP address, the country it points to, and the browser or device type when you sign in, so we can spot a sign-in from somewhere unusual and protect the account.
  • Weather. The ZIP code you enter for the weather card.
  • Website visits. With analytics on: pages viewed, the device type, the approximate area Google Analytics derives from the connection, and the site or campaign that brought you here. Analytics runs only on our public pages, never in the apps or on signed-in household pages.
  • Link requests. If you ask us to email you our links, your email address, the page you were on, and the site you came from.
  • Bot protection. When you submit certain forms, Cloudflare Turnstile checks your browser to tell people from bots.

Sources Of Information

  • From you, when you sign up, set up your household, add people and chores, buy a plan, or contact us
  • From the adult who invites you to their household, or who adds you to it as a profile
  • From Apple, Google, and Stripe when you sign in or buy through them
  • From your browser or device, as you use the service

How We Use Information

  • To run NotYourMaid: accounts, households, invitations, chores, reminders, reports, and the weekly summary if you turn it on
  • To bill, renew, and cancel subscriptions, and to send receipts, renewal reminders, and other notices the law requires
  • To send sign-in links, invitations, support replies, and service notices
  • To keep accounts secure and to prevent fraud, abuse, and bots
  • To understand which public pages work and improve the product, using analytics only as described below
  • To comply with law, enforce our terms, and resolve disputes

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Legal Bases For Processing

If you are in the EEA, UK, or another place that requires a legal basis, we rely on:

  • Contract, to provide the service you asked for
  • Legitimate interests, such as security, fraud prevention, support, and improving the product
  • Legal obligation, such as tax and accounting records
  • Consent, for analytics where it is required, which you can withdraw at any time

If you object to processing based on our legitimate interests, we will review your request in light of the applicable law and the nature of the service.

Who Helps Us Run NotYourMaid

These service providers process personal information for us, only to provide their service:

  • Supabase: our database and sign-in
  • Netlify: hosting for the website and the app's servers
  • Resend: sending our emails
  • Stripe: payments on the website
  • Apple: Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, and iPhone notifications
  • Google: Sign in with Google, Google Play purchases, and Google Analytics
  • Cloudflare: Turnstile bot protection
  • Open-Meteo and the U.S. National Weather Service: forecasts. Our servers send them your ZIP code and the approximate coordinates of its center, never your name, email, or IP address.
  • Browser push services (such as Google's, Mozilla's, and Apple's): delivering the notifications you turn on
  • Our support mailboxes: copies of support messages, including privacy and deletion requests, go to Dravara, LLC's own mailboxes, which include a Gmail mailbox provided by Google

People in your household see the household information that their role allows. We may also disclose information to professional advisors, to authorities where the law requires it, and to a buyer or successor if the business is sold or merged.

Analytics, Cookies, And Storage

Our public pages use Google Analytics to count visits and sign-ups. Advertising storage, Google Signals, and personalized advertising stay off. Where local rules require prior consent, analytics stays off until you choose Allow analytics. That covers visitors from the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, Canada, and the U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. Elsewhere, analytics is on until you turn it off.

Change your choice at any time with Analytics choices in the footer of our public pages. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to keep analytics off. Turning analytics off stops Google Analytics on that site and deletes its cookies there; notyourmaid.com and housiqhq.com each remember their own choice.

Emails

Account, billing, and security emails are part of the service. Marketing emails and the optional weekly summary each carry a one-click unsubscribe link that works without signing in; you can also turn the weekly summary off in Support & Settings.

Payments

Stripe processes website payments, and Apple and Google process purchases made in their stores. They send us the plan, its status, and the identifiers listed above, never full card numbers.

Sensitive Personal Information

Some laws treat three kinds of what we hold as sensitive: your account login, what you send to support, and information about a child that a parent or guardian adds to their household. We use them only to provide the service, secure accounts, and respond to you, never to infer characteristics about anyone.

Children

NotYourMaid accounts are for adults: you must be 18 or older to create or join a household, and you confirm this when you sign up. Children and teens cannot have an account or sign in; an adult in the household may add a profile for them.

A child's profile holds only what the adult enters: a name or nickname, an age group, the chores assigned, what the child completed, and points and badges. We do not ask for a child's email, photo, contact details, or location. We use a child's profile only to run the household's chore features. It is never used for advertising, never sold, never sent to Google Analytics, and seen only by the people in that household, by the providers that host it for us, and by us when we need to run or support the service.

A parent or guardian can review or change a child's profile in the app at any time, delete it there along with its history, or ask us to by emailing support@notyourmaid.com. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we close it, and we delete the personal information of anyone under 13. To report an account, email us with "Child account" in the subject.

How Long We Keep Information

  • Account, household, reminder, and sign-in security records: while the account exists. Deleting your account deletes them.
  • Support messages: our support inbox deletes them with your account. Copies in our support mailboxes stay until we delete them; ask us and we will.
  • Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires. When you delete your account, we remove your name and email from them.
  • Link requests: until you ask us to delete them or delete your account.
  • Unsubscribes: a one-way hash of the address, kept so we keep honoring the request.
  • Google Analytics: for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, at most 14 months.

International Transfers

NotYourMaid is based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as contractual protections. Contact us to learn more.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Automated Decision-Making

NotYourMaid uses product rules to suggest chores, assignments, and a fairer split of the work. It makes no solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about anyone.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know, access, or get a copy of your personal information
  • Correct it
  • Delete it, subject to legal exceptions
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Get it in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent where we rely on it
  • Complain to a regulator or supervisory authority

Delete your account or your household's data yourself in the app under Support & Settings, then Privacy & account, or on our account deletion page. For anything else, email support@notyourmaid.com. We may need to verify your identity first and use what you send for verification only for that.

California And Other U.S. States

Residents of California and other states with privacy laws may have the rights above, plus the right to know the categories of information we collect, their sources, our purposes, and who receives them. In the last 12 months we collected these categories, as California law names them, from the sources and for the purposes described above, and disclosed them only to the providers listed above, for those purposes:

Categories of personal information
CategoryWhat it covers hereKept
IdentifiersName, email address, account and sign-in identifiers, IP addressWhile the account exists
Customer recordsBilling identifiers, support messagesBilling: as tax law requires; support: with the account
Commercial informationPlan, purchases, renewalsAs tax and accounting law requires
Internet activityPages viewed on our public site, when analytics is onAt most 14 months
Approximate locationCountry from the sign-in IP address; the ZIP code you give for weatherWhile the account exists
Sensitive personal informationAccount login; information about a child that a parent addsWhile the account exists

We have not sold personal information or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising in the last 12 months, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. We honor Global Privacy Control. We use sensitive personal information only for the purposes the law permits without an opt-out, so there is nothing to limit. We do not give personal information to anyone for their own direct marketing (California's "Shine the Light" law). Browsers' Do Not Track signals have no agreed meaning, so we do not respond to them; Global Privacy Control does what they were meant to.

We answer a request within 45 days, or tell you within that time if we need up to 45 more, as the law allows.

You may use an authorized agent where the law permits; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization and ask you to verify your identity with us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we deny a request and your state gives you a right to appeal, reply to our answer or email support@notyourmaid.com.

EEA, UK, And Switzerland

You may also complain to your local data protection authority. If you do not give us information we need to create an account, process a subscription, or answer a support request, we may be unable to provide that part of the service.

Other Places

People elsewhere, including Canada and Australia, may ask for access to or correction of their information, or about how we handle it, at support@notyourmaid.com.

Changes To This Policy

We will post any change here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
